Meetings

Following are the governing bodies of the Fresno County SELPA: 

  • Superintendents’ Governance Council (SGC)
  • Executive Committee
  • Operations Committee
  • Joint Oversight Committee

Policies developed by the SGC become the operating policies for each of the participating school districts in the Fresno County SELPA. Policies, agreements, and procedures have weight of Board action when approved by the SGC.

SGC

The Superintendents' Governance Council (SGC) is comprised of Superintendents or an equivalent administrator representing the governing boards of each of the Member Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) in the Fresno County SELPA. The County Superintendent of Schools serves as the Chairperson of the SGC. 

Operations Committee

The Committee is comprised of one member (Superintendent, Director, Coordinator, or Principal) from each Member LEA. The Committee is chaired by the SELPA Administrator. 

Executive Committee

The Committee is comprised of six Superintendents or equivalent administrators, two each from Regions One, Two, and Three. The SELPA Administrator represents Region Four and chairs the Committee.
