Our mission is to support districts in creating meaningful opportunities for students with disabilities to learn, grow, and thrive. Through equitable access, collaborative leadership, responsible support, and a commitment to quality and compliance, we strengthen systems and partnerships, so every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Kids' Day 2026
Every year the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools creates an unforgettable experience for the Valley's special needs students. This year, students were treated with a Kids' Day held at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo!
Community Advisory Committee
Our Community Advisory Committee (CAC) helps parents stay connected, get updates on new legislation, and receive access to specific parent trainings. The CAC is also beneficial when parents have questions, are looking for support, or need additional resources.
Professional Development
SELPA members benefit from trainings covering various special education topics. Areas of training include the understanding of the assessment process, eligibility for special education, legally defensible IEPs, conflict resolution, and alternative dispute resolution.
