Low Incidence Equipment

Service Description and Purpose
The Fresno County Superintendent of Schools Special Education Department assists Member School Districts in purchasing low incidence equipment for students with hearing, vision, and severe orthopedic impairments. This equipment allows access to classroom instruction for students with these disabilities. This equipment may include technology to improve hearing, devices to enlarge curriculum, or adapted tables, chairs, or other items.

Eligibility
Students must have one of these disabling conditions listed as a primary or secondary disability on their Individual Educational Plan (IEP). The Low Incidence teacher assigned to the Member School District for that particular disability will consult with the team and process the required paperwork.

Please contact your Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH), Vision (VI), or Orthopedic Impairment (OI) specialist for assistance.
