CALPADS is a longitudinal data system used to maintain individual-level data including student demographics, course data, discipline, assessments, staff assignments, and other data for state and federal reporting. Part of the CALPADS reporting process every fall and summer includes submitting data for Special Education from the Student Special Education Data System. Personnel Data Report

Section 618(a)(3) of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires each State to submit data on special education personnel to the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). The data collected are reported in the Annual Report to Congress (ARC) on the Implementation of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Part B and C. The SELPA provides technical assistance to the LEA in completing this Personnel Data Report and submission to CDE.
